Have You Seen The New Las Vegas?

by Rholanda Z. Helesky

Gone are the days where Las Vegas real estate was seen as a tacky tourist resort full of bad Elvis Tribute acts and run down casinos where the guests were more losers than winners.

Recently, the whole of Las Vegas has been given a complete change. Gone are the rambling and run down casinos, cheap hotels and half decent resorts. A new system is in place and these are called the mega-resorts!

The Bellagio and Wynn have recently opened in Las Vegas and these are luxury resorts to rival any of the finest hotels in the world. These have triggered massive real estate development plans for Las Vegas and before the end of 2010 there is to be at least five new large scale resorts in store for Las Vegas Real Estate.

It was the two hotels, The Bellagio and the Wynn that sparked the development frenzy. Crushing over the older and more run down hotels to make way for a brand new sparkling reputation filled with lights, big winners and luxurious accommodation.

Before the end of 2010 it has been reported that at least five new mega-resorts will have their doors open to the general public. The Wynn has planned a sister hotel which will be called The Encore. This resort will have no less than 2054 rooms scaling 653 feet in height. This resort alone will reach costs of around $1.74 billion and is said to be the next tourist attraction to have holidaymakers flocking to Vegas.

The Venetian will also open a sister hotel with the name of The Palazzo. This is said to be open at some point in the very near future and the two resorts put together is said to be the “largest integrated destination resort” that the whole world has ever seen. The Palazzo itself will have 3025 rooms meaning that the two combined will have over 7000 rooms.

MGM Mirage is starting the construction process costing a $7.7 billion for a series of resorts, casinos and hotels to be on the Las Vegas strip. It is currently being called Project CityCenter. With over 7000 rooms in the project spanning a number of hotels. A new similar series of resorts near Circus Circus in the north of Las Vegas could be the biggest thing to hit Las Vegas since the very first Elvis tribute act. The Wynn hotel currently has a golf resort situated behind it. Mr. Steve Wynn is said to be getting rid of this to again, make way for another large-scale resort.

The Crown Las Vegas is currently going through the planning permission stages of its development. I is set to be the biggest and tallest resort reported to be standing at over 1880 feet in height. The Stratosphere currently stands 700 feet less than this. The Crown Las Vegas will span over 142 floors and with the development in motion, the giant should soon start to appear.

With new resorts and even an Elvis themed property being planned and popping up, making Las Vegas real estate the ultimate holiday destination. This is fast moving from a dream to a reality and with the old and outdated going out and the new, fresh and modern coming in, Las Vegas could soon be the brightest and best place on earth!
